The Natural Classic

Our clients approached us to modernize their home, wanting the space to feel reminiscent of a “Scandinavian tree house.” The house is ranch style residence, located in a peaceful neighborhood in Pepper Pike, Ohio, featuring large wall-to-wall windows that overlook the woods. A setting with an ambiance that genuinely feels like being in a tree house!

Our task was to draw inspiration from this stunning outdoor environment and infuse it into the home through our choice of color palette, materials, and an overall refresh to create the nature-inspired oasis the space was meant to be. We removed many of the more traditional details throughout the home and introduced custom elements such as a new kitchen island and banquette seating. Additionally, we refreshed the paint colors, tiling, lighting, and upholstery.

Throughout the rooms, you’ll find our clients’ beautiful collection of pottery and furniture, all inspired by the Arts and Crafts movement of William Morris. While designing the spaces, we made sure to consider these details to ensure that everything our clients loved and wanted in their home would seamlessly fit into the overall design.
