Designers & Staff

Marissa (Iacovetta) Matiyasic is a Cleveland Heights based Interior Designer and Principal of Reflections Interior Design.  Marissa has been with Reflections since 2004 and holds a B.S. Degree in Interior Design from Bowling Green State University. In October 2010 Marissa passed the NCIDQ (National Council for Interior Design Qualifications) Examination and earned the prestigious NCIDQ Certificate.

While kitchen and bathroom remodeling is a strong suit, much of her work requires incorporating existing furniture, both antiques and sentimental favorites, in her clients’ homes.  "My original intention in design was to focus only on kitchens.  But I quickly realized my heart was in creating living spaces throughout the whole house.  Going beyond expectations and making the customer as enthusiastic about the final results as I am about the initial vision is my ultimate goal.  Design is my passion."

Her talent, passion and vast experience working on numerous projects with clients of varying personalities and design tastes has given her the ability to understand and educate the consumer on how to think about and understand the design process.  Marissa continues the practice of teaching the popular class after being mentored by Reita Bayman, founder of Reflections and creator of “The Secrets of Interior Design” class and carries on the philosophy she established for Reflections over 30 years ago, "To help people get in touch with their feelings through their environment."
